TSA Products & Ideas Expo

tsa_expo

The Texas Society of Architects / AIA Products & Ideas Expo was held Thursday & Friday, October 22nd & 23rd in Houston at the George R Brown Convention Center.

The event showcased many products & novel ideas towards reducing energy & improving building technology.

Encenx Corporation was excited to participate in the successful and well attended event. Located at booth # 739, we had our latest technology on display, including the much sought after & talked about ecoPOWER Hybrid turbines. The ecoPower turbine has unique features enabling wind only operation or with power assist to drive the turbine head to ensure ventilation parameters are always met. Typical energy consumption in actual applications is lower by up to 50% in low wind conditions.

We would like to thank all those that stopped by and discussed at length, the merits of our technologies.

Encenx is all about wind turbines, ventilation turbines, energy, energy services, energy managment, energy consulting and alternate lighting solutions. The ecoPower is gaining momentum worldwide as a product that contributes energy savings in building applications. An example of an innovative use of the technology is shown below in some detail.

University of Washington Molecular Engineering Building

ecopower

Architects ZGF & project engineers AEI for the new University of Washington Molecular Engineering Building have specified the ecoPOWER EP900 as part of the innovative solution to provide natural ventilation for the office spaces.

This state of the art project utilzes natural ventilation for the office spaces to reduce energy consumption levels for the building by way of an innovative and detailed overall engineering plan & design.

The ecoPOWER EP900 turbines were selected to provide continuous wind + power driven ventilation that is integral to ensuring ventilation requirements are met. Futher information regarding this project can be viewed at the following link:

UW Molecular Engineering Building

The project is expected to meet at least a LEED-NC Silver rating and has a projected completion date in 2012.
